Reflexology
For many centuries people have relied on Reflexology to treat a variety of illnesses. The aim of the Reflexologist is treat the whole person, mind, body and spirit,to induce a state of relaxation, balance and harmony, which will encourage the body's natural ability to heal itself. Reflexology is of benefit to everyone, from a newborn baby to the elderly and infirm, it can complement other therapies.
Reflexology is increasingly being accepted by the medical profession as a safe and effective treatment and I get many referrals from our local doctors surgeries.
What will happen during a treatment?
During a treatment I will gently manipulate different areas on your feet. Each area corresponds to an organ or system within your body. By stimulating the nerve pathways Reflexology may help to relieve pain, balance hormones, improve nerve and blood supply, relieve stress, aid digestion and restore equilibrium. It is a calming and relaxing treatment, leaving you feeling rejuvenated and re balanced and giving your body the tools it needs to heal. Each session lasts for approximately one hour.
I also offer a combined Reflexology with Reiki session. Reiki is the name given to a simple, yet profound system of natural healing. It was discovered by Dr Mikao Usui who lived in Japan in the 19th century. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by 'laying on hands' and is based on the principle that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us. This energy is what causes us to be alive, if it is low then sickness occurs.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing. It is calming and can be used in conjunction with any other therapies or conventional medicine. I no longer offer Reiki as a stand alone therapy but incorporate it into Relexology sessions.
The cost of an hours treatment is £40
